or trade and exhibition centre of Rome hosts many of Rome's biggest conferences and exhibitions. The Fiera is located in the E.U.R. district of Rome and is easily reached from the Hotel Mascagni Rome which is only 20 metres from the Metro stop La Repubblica. Recently the Fiera has increased in importance with a couple of large international trade shows being hosted there. One such exhibition was the SMAU or Information Technology Fair which takes place in June.
The SMAU fair is simply getting bigger and bigger as Information Technology and especially the Internet figure ever more prominently in our every day lives.

The Food and Agricultural Organisation together with the World Food Program have their head offices in Rome. World Summits and International Conferences held in Rome are more often than not based or involve these two huge international organisations.
