ROME ATTRACTIONS - NIGHTLIFE

The Hotel Baileys is ideally located to take advantage of Rome's thriving nightlife. In the vicinity of the hotel can be found Irish pubs, bars, nightclubs, flea markets, restaurants, english speaking and original language cinemas. In addition there are also a large number of restaurants and snack bars.


The Summer is the best period for great night life in Rome. Visit Campo dei Fiori which is located near Piazza Navona for some great pubs and a fantastic atmosphere. Pubs to visit include Sloppy Sams and The Drunken Ship which are both American Bars. Try the Vineria for something a little more Roman.

Wine tasting Evenings


On the ancient stenes which once held the abundant dinners of Lucullo, today you find the Palazzo del Vino in Vicolo del Bottino, International headquarters for the Wine Academy, privileged meeting place for wine lovers. Theory and practice unite in the many rooms of the buildings. In one room, reserved for the restaurant you can find a beautiful library with all of the essential books of wine and gastronomy. The library is besides being a place for reading also a cozy place for wine tasting.

Druids Irish Pub Rome

The Druids Irish Pub was opened in 1978 and is one of the few genuinely irish owned pub in Rome. The owner's wife is from Northern Ireland and is one of the few people in Rome that knows how to pour a pint of Guiness. It is famous as a meeting place for travelers from all over the globe and particulary for football fans making their pilgrimage to Rome for either a Serie A or Uefa Cup tie / Champions League match involving either AS Roma or Lazio. Football and rugby supporters side by side when its the turn of the 6 nations Rugby in Rome and come an join in the "craic" as ex-pats living and working in Rome give free advice to tourists from all over the globe. Cinema Pasquino English Language Cinema in Rome - Films in their Original Language Roma

Rome has hundreds of Cinemas but only a very few show films in their original language. One such cinema is Pasquino which is located in the Trastervere district .
