Without
doubt one of the most impressive buidlings in the Eternal City located
in Piazza Colonna. The Parliament itself is
informally known as Piazza "Colonna" - due to the presence
of a huge obelisk in the middle of the square - the square is a
strict no go area whenever the Italian parliament are in session.
Be warned though that due
to the increased security some restrictions may be enforced to stop
you taking photographs of this highly sensitive building.
Did You Know? Italian parliamentary debates are
often very heated and several times a year end up in a free for
all with blows being exchanged by the various political parties.
